Makino Grinder Operator

Join our team as a Makino Grinder Operator, where you will be responsible for setting up and performing changeovers on grinders. You will utilize precision grinders to perform outer diameter and inner diameter grinding of necessary parts, maintaining high tolerances of +/-.001, which is critical in the aerospace industry. There is also potential for using manual or CNC mills and lathes to grind and smooth metal parts, removing defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

• Set up and perform changeovers on grinders.
• Utilize precision grinders for outer diameter and inner diameter grinding.
• Maintain high tolerances of +/-.001 for aerospace industry standards.
• Potentially use manual or CNC mills/lathes for additional grinding tasks.
• Grind and smooth metal parts to remove defects, sharp edges, and excess material.

• Experience running a CNC machine or similar equipment with setups and changeovers.
• Proficiency in reading blueprints and schematics.
• Knowledge of grinder operations, machine operation, and CNC machining.
• Ability to use micrometers and perform surface grinding.

• Familiarity with manual mills and lathes.
• Experience in machining and CNC machining processes.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $24.00/hr eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
