B-Shift Packaging Operator
The B-Shift Packaging Operator plays a key role in assembling, kitting, and packing products on a packaging line while operating machinery and equipment in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing environment. This role involves working at various workstations, performing visual quality inspections, and following all safety and quality standards to ensure accurate, efficient, and high-quality packaging of products.
Responsibilities
- Assemble, kit, and pack products according to established work instructions and quality standards.
- Package products at different workstations along the packaging line to meet production goals.
- Operate packaging machines and related equipment safely and efficiently.
- Sort and scan materials to ensure correct product flow and accurate tracking.
- Perform visual quality checks and inspections to identify and report defects or inconsistencies.
- Label products and packaging accurately to maintain proper identification and traceability.
- Follow all safety procedures and quality guidelines at all times.
- Complete basic data entry using a computer to record production and quality information.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support a safe and efficient operation.
- Work effectively in a fast-paced environment while remaining focused and detail-oriented.
- Remain stationary for extended periods while performing tasks at assigned workstations.
- Regularly bend, stoop, crouch, or twist as required to perform packaging and assembly duties.
- Collaborate with team members and support overall production and packaging goals.
Essential Skills
- Experience in packaging machine operation or packaging machine experience.
- General labor, production, and assembly experience, including assembly line work.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good hand-eye coordination for efficient assembly, kitting, and packing tasks.
- Experience or understanding of visual quality checks and inspections.
- Basic math skills to support counting, measurements, and inventory-related tasks.
- Comfort using a computer for data entry and basic system navigation.
- Ability to remain stationary for extended periods while working at a workstation.
- Ability to bend, stoop, crouch, or twist regularly as part of daily duties.
- Self-motivated work style with the ability to stay focused and productive.
- Previous experience in assembly, kitting, packing, or production preferred.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
- Experience in kitting, packaging line work, and general machine operation.
- Experience with labeling, inspection, and general assembly tasks.
- Comfort working with standard manufacturing tools and equipment.
- Demonstrated reliability and consistency in meeting production expectations.
- Willingness to learn new processes and grow within a manufacturing environment.

Work Environment

The dress code requires steel-toe boots, blue jeans and/or Cintas pants with no holes, and a solid-colored shirt; shorts are also permitted. Employees work at various packaging workstations and machines, performing assembly, kitting, packing, labeling, and inspection tasks in a professional and safety-conscious environment.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Hebron, KY.
Pay and Benefits
