We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician to play a crucial role in ensuring the integrity and reliability of our products. As a key member of the quality team, you will conduct thorough inspections and assessments to ensure our products meet strict quality standards. You will collaborate closely with management and team members to foster a culture of quality and teamwork within the department and across the manufacturing floor.
Your analytical skills and attention to detail will help identify areas for improvement, allowing you to contribute to the continuous enhancement of our processes. In this role, you will assess products and processes against defined criteria, using established procedures to maintain consistent quality. You will also have the opportunity to participate in refining quality standards and process improvements to ensure the overall success and efficiency of the manufacturing facility and its operations.
Job Summary
Quality Assurance Technician is responsible for inspecting, auditing, and verifying materials, processes, and products to ensure compliance with company quality standards and customer requirements. This position supports incoming, in-process, and final inspections; maintains quality records; conducts internal audits; and assists with corrective and preventive action activities. Quality Assurance Technician works closely with production, engineering, suppliers, and customers to promote continuous improvement, maintain quality management system requirements, and ensure the delivery of high-quality products.
Primary Job Responsibilities
- Inspect, audit, and report on materials, services, processes and products using measuring instruments and techniques to ensure conformance with the company’s quality standards
- Enter data and maintain paper and electronic quality records when required
- Responsible for receiving and outgoing inspections
- Conduct internal quality audits
- Participate in problem solving and continuous improvement projects (Corrective Action, Preventive Action and Non-Conforming Product)
- Collect, monitor, organize, report, and distribute data as it relates to the functions of the Quality department
- Represent Wagstaff when interacting with auditors, customers, suppliers and visitors
- Prepare inspection sheets for production floor use
- Assist in statistical studies and analysis
- Follow documented processes

- Maintain a clean and organized work area to ensure efficiency and productivity
- In order to achieve business objectives, work weeks in excess of 40 hours may be required

Required Qualifications & Skills
- Associate degree in a technical discipline or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Minimum of five (5) years of quality assurance experience, including five (5) years in a manufacturing environment.
- Certification as an ASQ Certified Quality Inspector or ASQ Certified Quality Technician.
- Experience performing inspections using conventional hand measuring tools and equipment.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM) inspections.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, specifications, and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Knowledge of quality management systems and standards such as AS9100, ISO 9001, or similar.
- Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, preventive actions, and nonconforming material processes.
- Strong mechanical inspection skills.
- Proficiency in maintaining accurate quality records and inspection documentation.
