Water Spider (Material Handler)

The Water Spider supports continuous production by delivering materials, parts, and supplies to production lines and workstations in a timely and efficient manner. This role focuses on safe and accurate material handling, inventory movement, and stock organization to prevent workflow interruptions and ensure a clean, well-structured warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

  • Supply production lines and workstations with materials, parts, and supplies to maintain continuous and efficient operations.
  • Transport inventory and raw materials throughout the warehouse using pallet jacks, carts, and forklifts.
  • Monitor stock levels at production lines and in storage areas and replenish materials to prevent workflow interruptions and production delays.
  • Receive incoming shipments, verify contents, and stock, label, and organize materials in designated warehouse locations.
  • Maintain accurate inventory records using barcode scanners and warehouse management systems.
  • Coordinate closely with warehouse, shipping, and production teams to prioritize material movement and support daily production goals.
  • Conduct routine inventory checks, identify discrepancies, and report issues to supervisors for resolution.
  • Ensure proper storage and handling of materials in compliance with company policies and safety standards.
  • Keep warehouse aisles, staging areas, and workstations clean, organized, and free of hazards.
  • Follow all safety procedures when operating forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.

Essential Skills

  • Proven experience operating forklifts in a warehouse or manufacturing environment.
  • Hands-on experience using pallet jacks to move materials and inventory.
  • Strong material handling skills, including safely loading, unloading, and transporting goods.
  • Experience working in a production or manufacturing setting with a focus on supporting production lines.
  • Practical knowledge of inventory handling and basic inventory control processes.
  • Ability to coordinate with multiple teams, including warehouse, shipping, and production, to meet daily goals.
  • Attention to detail when labeling, organizing, and recording inventory.
  • Commitment to following safety procedures and company policies for material storage and handling.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Familiarity with warehouse management systems and barcode scanners for tracking inventory.
  • Experience working in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility.
  • Ability to maintain a clean and organized work area, including aisles, staging areas, and workstations.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to support multiple production lines.

Work Environment

This role is based in a clean, climate-controlled manufacturing facility designed to provide a comfortable work setting. You will work around production lines, warehouse storage areas, and staging zones while using equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, carts, and barcode scanners. The environment emphasizes organization, safety, and cleanliness, with clear aisles and well-maintained workstations. The dress code requires steel toe boots, blue jeans and/or Cintas-style pants with no holes, and a solid-colored shirt;

shorts are also permitted when compliant with safety guidelines.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Hebron, KY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $24.00/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
