Food Production Worker

Schedule:

3 12-hour shifts — work 36 hours and get paid for 40 hours.

The Schwebel Baking Company is seeking ambitious individuals to fill multiple full-time Production Worker (Relief) Posiitons inour food manufacturing facility.

This is an entry-level position that may assist various machine operators and perform a variety of manual labor tasks in the production of baked goods. Employees may also be assigned shipping and/or sanitation duties as needed. This position generally reports to a shift supervisor, and duties may vary from day to day.

Schedules are based on business needs and will be assigned by management.

• $19.35 per hour (Might & Weekend Shift Differential)
• Weekly pay

• Arrives on or before the scheduled start time to properly review duties for the day
• Maintains strict adherence to attendance policies
• Assists machine operators in the setup and monitoring of equipment
• Monitors product quality according to company standards (proper size, color, texture, slicing, packaging, etc.)
• Physically handles products, materials, and equipment (pan trucks, baskets, racks, pans, product, etc.)
• Keeps equipment and work areas clean and orderly
• Properly wears personal protective equipment as provided and directed by the company; follows GMP and company uniform standards
• Communicates and coordinates with team members to maintain proper product flow
• Assists other members of the bakery team as needed (breakdowns, emergencies, etc.)
• Performs sanitation, production, and/or shipping functions as required by plant supervision
• Follows all company policies and procedures, including safety rules and work guidelines
• Performs other duties as assigned by plant supervision

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must have reliable transportation
• Must be able to work holidays and weekends
• Ability to perform basic math and computer skills
• Must adhere to The Schwebel Baking Company’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs)
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, including frequent walking, standing for extended periods, bending, kneeling, stooping, twisting, climbing, and lifting up to 50 pounds at a time.
