JOB DESCRIPTION
Clean Harbors Hebron, OH is an environmentally friendly solvent recycler looking to add several Solvent Process Operators to their team. Team members will learn to complete tasks such as distillation, filtration, blending within units, operating distillation units (Cookers, Distillation column). Other duties include transferring material, sampling process at various locations, and maintaining a safe work environment.
SHIFTNights 7pm-7am, 3/2 split. Training on 1st shift (1-2 months).
PAY$24 - $25 per hour with $1.75 shift differential after training.

Responsibilities include ensuring health and safety compliance, training on distillation operations, daily checklist completion, maintaining unit operations, performing maintenance, ensuring SOP compliance, decanting material, washouts, reviewing SOPs, completing paperwork for waste tracking, ensuring compliance, maintaining a clean work environment, logs/run sheets, monitoring tank levels and alarms, understanding Clean Compliance Standard, and performing other duties assigned by management.
- Ensuring that Health and Safety is the number one priority by complying with all safe work practices, policies, and processes.
- Offloads inbound tankers and performs distillation instructed by the laboratory.
- Sampling of trucks to laboratory.
- Completes daily checklist for proper operation of Distillation units.
- Assures unit has daily maintenance duties performed and communicates issues immediately.
- Assures Distillation units are never operated in an unsafe manner or inconsistent with SOPs.
- Ensures processing unit operates according to guidelines and specifications.
- Decants material pumping off excess sludge, washout of still between batches.
- Reviews all applicable SOPs and scores satisfactorily on quizzes.
- Completes paperwork for waste tracking movements and scans applications.
- Ensures work meets all applicable Health and Safety SOPs.
- Ensures, understands and has ownership for area‑specific permit compliance standards.
- Responsible for maintaining a clean work environment.
- Maintain accurate logs/run sheets.
- Monitor tank levels using gauges and PLC monitoring equipment, check alarms and pumps.
- Understands Clean Compliance Standard.
- Performs other duties and tasks as assigned by management.
- High School diploma or equivalent required.
- Must be 18 years or older.
- 1+ Years of related experience.
- Fork lift experience preferred (not required).
- Ability to use computer.
- Ability to lift 50 or more pounds.
