Perma-Pipe in Hebron, OH is looking for Maintenance Technicians (All Levels)
The Maintenance Technicians are responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and facility systems to support safe and efficient production operations. This role spans entry-level through advanced skill levels, with increasing independence, technical complexity, and leadership responsibilities as experience grows.
The role is situated in Hebron, OH and is not a remote or hybrid position.

Essential Job Functions
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform routine preventive maintenance tasks such as lubrication, filter changes, inspections, and cleaning of equipment.
- Assist senior technicians with mechanical and electrical troubleshooting and repairs.
- Maintain organized work areas and ensure tools and equipment are properly and safely stored.
- Document maintenance work, repairs, and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Follow company safety policies and OSHA requirements.
- Report unsafe conditions, equipment issues, or hazards immediately.
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop mechanical, electrical, and facility maintenance skills.
- Perform preventive maintenance tasks including lubrication, inspections, cleaning, adjustments, and component replacements.
- Troubleshoot and repair production equipment, machinery, and facility systems under appropriate supervision.
- Document completed work orders, repairs, and parts usage in the Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS).
- Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas; ensure tools and equipment are properly stored.
- Follow company safety standards, OSHA requirements, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Report equipment issues, unsafe conditions, or hazards promptly.
- Participate in on-the-job training to develop mechanical, electrical, and multi-craft maintenance skills.
- Fabricate or repair components using welding, machining, or other fabrication techniques (as applicable).
- Support equipment upgrades, modifications, and continuous improvement efforts.
- Independently troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and controls-related issues.
- Support PLC troubleshooting and automation diagnostics in coordination with engineering or senior technical resources.
- Perform equipment alignment, calibration, and precision maintenance activities.
- Fabricate or repair equipment components as needed (welding or machining experience preferred).
- Lead small maintenance projects, equipment upgrades, and root-cause failure investigations.
- Provide training, mentorship, and technical guidance to junior maintenance technicians.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives to enhance equipment reliability and operational efficiency.
- Vocational, trade school, technical certification, or apprenticeship preferred (strongly preferred for advanced levels)
- Technician I:
- 0-2 years of maintenance or related mechanical experience
- Basic knowledge of hand and power tools
- Strong willingness to learn mechanical, electrical, and facility systems
- Technician II:
- 2-4 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent training
- Working knowledge of mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Ability to troubleshoot equipment with limited supervision
- Technician III:
- 4-6 years of industrial maintenance experience or equivalent certification
- Strong mechanical and electrical troubleshooting skills
- Familiarity with PLCs, automation equipment, and industrial controls
- Demonstrated leadership and mentoring capability
- Industrial manufacturing and fabrication setting.
- Exposure to noise, welding operations, heavy equipment, and varying temperatures.
- Frequent interaction with production floor activities.
- Required use of PPE including safety glasses, gloves, steel-toed boots, and hearing protection.
- Occasional overtime or extended hours based on production needs.
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to move throughout shop, yard, and facility areas.
- Occasional bending, climbing, and reaching.
- Ability to lift or move equipment and tools up to 25 lbs.
