The Articulated Dump Truck (ADT) Driver B is an intermediate-level operator responsible for safely and efficiently hauling materials on construction sites with minimal supervision. This operator understands haul routes, dumping procedures, and jobsite flow, and can maintain consistent production while working in coordination with excavators, loaders, and ground crews.
- Operate an articulated dump truck safely and efficiently in earthwork and utility operations
- Maintain steady production and efficient cycle times between cut and fill areas
- Coordinate effectively with excavator operators, loaders, and spotters
- Navigate haul roads, slopes, and uneven terrain with good judgment
- Follow proper dumping procedures to maintain grade and site organization
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip inspections and report maintenance issues
- Keep equipment clean and fueled
- Follow all site safety rules, traffic patterns, and communication protocols
- Assist with general site tasks when hauling operations are paused
- Moderate experience operating articulated dump trucks or similar heavy equipment
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Good understanding of construction site safety and equipment awareness
- Ability to communicate clearly with operators and ground personnel
- Valid driver’s license required
- Strong safety awareness and judgment
- Understanding of efficient haul operations and site flow
- Ability to operate in wet, muddy, or rough terrain
- Dependability and consistent performance
- Good equipment care and inspection habits
- Outdoor construction sites in varying weather and ground conditions
- Exposure to dust, noise, mud, and active excavation
- Working around multiple pieces of heavy equipment
- Ability to climb in and out of equipment multiple times per day
- Ability to sit for extended periods while operating equipment
- Ability to perform inspections requiring bending, climbing, and walking
