We are seeking a detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Receivable & Billing Coordinator to support the daily financial operations of our organization. This position plays an important role in billing, payment processing, account monitoring, and maintaining accurate financial records in a fast-paced nonprofit environment.
Salary: $19.00 – $21.00 per hour, DOE, Full-Time, nonexempt
Schedule: Generally, Monday – Friday, daytime hours, 34-40 hours per week
What You Will Do- Prepare and process billing, invoices, and claims accurately and on time
- Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on outstanding balances
- Post payments, deposits, and adjustments into accounting systems
- Assist with Medicaid, insurance, grant, and program billing processes
- Review and resolve billing discrepancies and denied claims
- Support audits, compliance documentation, and finance recordkeeping
- Communicate professionally with staff, agencies, and clients regarding billing matters
- Collaborate with program and finance staff to improve billing accuracy and efficiency
- High school diploma required
- Experience in accounts receivable, billing, bookkeeping, or finance preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel and Outlook
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
- Understanding of basic accounting and billing practices
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Successful completion of a background check required
