Brief Description
Lewis and Clark County Attorney's Office is recruiting for a Grant Technician to work with the High Intensity Drug Task Force Grant. Under general supervision of the County Attorney, this position provides grant administration, account management and reporting services for the High Intensity Drug Task Force (HIDTA) and provides administrative support to federal prosecutions.
RequirementsThe knowledge, skills, and abilities required for this position are acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to an associate’s degree in office management, Business Administration, Accounting, Legal Studies, or a related field and two (2) years’ experience in accounting, finance, or grants administration. Alternative combinations of education and experience will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Summary Duties and Responsibilities- Provides grant administration, account management, and reporting services for HIDTA;
- Provides administrative support to prosecutions;
- Monitors and manages expenditures according to grant stipulations;
- Collects statistical, financial, budgetary, and operational information;
- Performs accounting and tracking functions for the HIDTA grant;
- Coordinates with department, local, state, and federal agencies;
- Researches, prepares and submits grant applications;
- Compiles financial reports and enforcement reports;
- Determines which cases are large enough to qualify for federal prosecutions with grant funds;
- Manages records;
- Researches databases;
- May prepare and process legal documentation;
- Safeguards/communicates sensitive information;
- Performs other duties as assigned.

Position is subject to a criminal background check prior to hire and thereafter to assure ongoing ability to access Confidential Justice Information Network (CJIN) as prescribed by CJIN/NCIC policies. Local and area travel during the business day is occasionally required.
Physical DemandsDuties are generally performed in an office environment where hazards and discomforts are controlled and modifiable.
