Here's a big-picture view of what you'll do:
- Assist the Operations Manager in establishing, monitoring, and supporting compliance with quality and scheduling standards
- Receive scheduling calls and organize or reorganize schedules for home care personnel
- Verify client schedules and support accurate documentation related to scheduling coordination
- Verify employee availability and accuracy documentation to schedule
- Track and coordinate staff leave to ensure adequate patient coverage
- Operate the scheduling phone line, to receive incoming calls and provide a professional, helpful point of contact
- Ensure assigned office functions are completed in compliance with federal, state, and local laws; applicable accreditation standards;
Interim Health Care policies, procedures, and standards; and organizational requirements
A few must-haves:
- Associate's degree or equivalent years of training and work experience
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in healthcare or a related industry
- Strong organizational skills, attention to detail and computer software proficiency
- Communicates clearly and professionally, both orally and in writing, with caregivers, patients/clients, referral sources, and other internal or external contacts
- Builds constructive working relationships with office staff, field personnel, and service partners
- Handles sensitive information, including PHI, with discretion and in accordance with organizational privacy and confidentiality expectations.
Working Conditions & Physical Effort:
- Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
- Ability to work flexible schedule and/or evening hours as needed.
- Ability to sit in front of CPU for long periods of time.
- Physical activity is sedentary and may require occasional lifting or carrying up to 10 lbs.
