Construction Engineering and InspectionOur Construction Engineering and Inspection team plays a critical role in turning plans into reality; safely, on time, and within budget. We require close coordination between owners, engineers, and contractors. We provide full‑service construction administration and specialized inspection and testing services for a wide range of infrastructure projects.
SummaryThe Field Project Representative 4 is responsible for construction observation, administrative duties, and documentation during the construction phase. Applicants must be able to travel away from home for extended periods, and may need night shift and/or weekend work. Duties include interpreting contract plans and specifications; observing and inspecting contractor work; note taking and documentation; preparing pay requests and record keeping; and assisting other staff with RFIs, change orders, and administrative duties.

- Fully proficient understanding of technical fundamentals related to the market sector
- Leads technical efforts on a variety of project types, sizes, and complexities
- Mentors others on technical tasks and skills
- Provides quality control of moderately complex deliverables
Team player who leads small teams (1‑2 people) to complete challenging assignments. Independent thinker who provides clear communication and direction and takes responsibility for results.
Project Delivery- Daily construction reports and project documentation
- Submittal reviews
- In-service inspection reports
- Construction Time Estimates (CTEs)
- Change order support documents (Force account process)
Strong understanding of scopes, schedules, and budgets. Able to predict and deliver individual tasks within a set level of effort. Consistently meets budget and schedule expectations. Develops budgets and schedules for complex tasks and mentors others.
Industry Standards and Regulations- Interprets, selects, and employs the following standards with advanced skill:
- Relationship/order of precedence of contract documents
- Materials testing and requirements
- Quantity and quality tracking
- Local agency, state DOT, EJCDC, ACI, Master Spec, other building codes
- Actively mentors others on interpreting standards
Frequent direct communications with clients to resolve technical issues on moderate to complex projects. Leads client project meetings and understands appropriate messaging and legal risks.

Level of Work / AccountabilityPerforms advanced levels of technical work on large, complex projects as a trusted technical member. Operates with a high level of autonomy. Reviews the work of others and may perform some project management tasks.
