Works under the direct supervision of the Superintendent, Facilities Director and Athletics Director. Part‑time, stipend paid. Be responsible for the overall development, organization, operation, coordination and evaluation of the defined community education program geared toward the interests and needs of the children, youth and adults living within the service areas of the Lockwood community.

• Develops and manages community and adult education program.
• Supervises the adult and community education staff which may include supervisor, coordinators, teachers, paraprofessionals, volunteers and secretaries.
• Ensures that community and adult programs maintain financial viability.
• Oversees budgets for community and adult education program.
• Promotes, publicizes and interprets existing and planned programs to the school staff and the community‑at‑large.
• Participates with administrators to ensure quality instructional programs.
• Meets with representatives from the community regarding community education programs.
• Serves as liaison between District and community.
• Conducts periodic assessments of community education needs and interests.
• Helps select materials and equipment as needed for department.
• Participates in county, state, and national activities designed to improve adult/community education.
• Responsible for all reports as they relate to adult education.
• Ensures that an authorized person is present on the school premises when community education activities are in progress.
