This is a permanent full‑time position commencing Term 3, 2026.
Our vision is to offer students a caring, progressive and meaningful learning environment that enhances their self‑confidence and promotes an interest in life‑long learning and achievement.
We have a proud history of offering young people a high quality, comprehensive education suited to their strengths and passions. We provide comprehensive education pathways leading to the attainment of an Australian Tertiary Admission Rank (ATAR), Vocational Education and Training (VET) qualifications or future employment. This broad curriculum sees our students graduate and go on to lead successful careers.
Our teachers are experienced at getting the best out of all their students. We respect the individual needs of each student and believe that with the right guidance and direction, they will not only succeed but achieve their highest expectations.
Eastern Hills Senior High School (SHS) offers an Engagement program which provides a learning environment and learning opportunities to students who require adjustments and supports beyond those available in a mainstream classroom setting. We also have a literacy centre that provides opportunities for students to engage in intensive literacy programs designed to bridge learning gaps and enable students to succeed in their courses.
Eastern Hills SHS has an opening for the newly created position of Program Coordinator – Learning Support. This is an exceptional opportunity for an innovative and experienced leader to play a central role in growing and embedding our culture of inclusion and in ensuring that our students with additional learning needs experience social and academic success.
In the role, you should provide specialist strategic and operational leadership across disability inclusion, the Engagement program, and mainstream literacy/numeracy intervention, ensuring coherent integration of curriculum, behaviour support, staffing and resourcing at Eastern Hills SHS. The successful applicant would lead the development and implementation of an approach that ensures that students at educational risk, including students with diagnosed and imputed disability, learning difficulties, and low literacy and numeracy progress, are supported through high‑quality, evidence‑based frameworks and practices that maximise engagement, achievement and post‑school pathways.
The successful applicant will ideally provide critical leadership in growing and embedding the school’s culture of inclusive practice. You should work collaboratively with stakeholders to improve student engagement and outcomes. Using your specialist knowledge in disability‑informed and evidence‑based practice, you will work alongside staff in ensuring that students with disability and neurodiversity are well‑supported and that we recognise, celebrate, and grow their strengths and abilities.
