Helena School District #1 has an opening for a full-time 7 hours per school day General Education Para Educator. The position is presently assigned to Capital High School and is responsible for the In School Suspension Classroom.
Some of what you will do:- Assist with individual and small group pupil instruction; tutor pupils at teachers' request.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and other functions.
- Assist with attendance and related clerical matters.
- May escort students to and from various rooms.
- Associate's degree or higher
- Two years of study at an institute of higher education (no degree)
- Successful completion of PASS course
- Willing to complete PASS course
- At least three (3) months of related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District.
Essential functions of the position include the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds with or without a reasonable accommodation.
Entry level salary range is $15.45- $18.98 per hour depending on education level and applicable relevant work experience as determined by the District. Benefits include but are not limited to: paid sick and vacation leave, 3 paid personal days, 9 paid holidays, up to 10 school calendar related paid days, health benefit plan and retirement.
