Helena School District #1 has openings for Kinder Sprouts Para Educator positions at Kessler, Bryant, and Broadwater. The Kinder Sprouts program is designed to assist four‑year (4) old students in developing early literacy skills through instruction and play. This position will work eight (8) hours per school day (8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.). Prior successful experience working with and around preschool age children is desired.
As a General Education/Kinder Sprouts Para Educator, you will assist students individually and in small groups.
- Assist with individual and small‑group pupil instruction and play; tutor pupils at teachers' request.
- Assist in maintaining discipline and other classroom functions.
- Assist with attendance and related clerical matters.
- Assist with student hygiene.
- Escort students to and from various rooms.
- A high school diploma or equivalent, with a commitment to completing the District's Title I recognized training.
- At least three (3) months of related experience and/or training;
- Or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience as determined by the District.
The position requires the ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 40 pounds, with or without reasonable accommodation.
Salary & BenefitsCurrent entry level salary range: $15.45–$18.98 per hour, depending on education level and applicable relevant school‑related experience. The position includes a comprehensive benefit package.
