Senior Geologist 3 – Opportunity

We are looking to add new talent to our growing team! We are currently seeking a Senior Geologist 3 to work in a technical role alongside highly skilled professionals on diverse project teams in a dynamic environment. This is an excellent opportunity to join a growing group and company and get involved in a variety of projects for a diverse range of clients.

This is a full-time position located in our Helena , MT office.

Duties / Responsibilities
  • Lead the execution of project work and proposals on large and/or complex multi-disciplinary projects to align with company-defined business objectives and client expectations in partnership with the project team.
  • Regularly coach, mentor, and direct staff in the quality execution of projects and preparation of analyses, technical reports and other deliverables, with a focus on developing skills to support their professional growth.
  • Demonstrate strong technical competence, knowledge of codes and regulations, and professional standards of practice to assigned tasks.
  • Leverage your understanding of codes, regulations, and professional standard of practice associated with project work in your area of expertise to align project scopes with client objectives and regulatory requirements to deliver superior client value.
  • Leverage your learning to increase the technical capabilities of others and the overall technical performance of the company.
  • Excel in your field by engaging with external organizations, delivering internal and external presentations, and contributing to technical publications.
  • Lead the development of geologic site characterization plans and oversee the implementation of field investigation programs.
  • Lead project teams with the technical evaluation and interpretation of site characterization and geologic data, develop conceptual site models, and work with other multidisciplinary team members to assess the impact to project goals.
  • Maintain a high-level understanding of the current state of the practice in the geologic discipline.
  • Lead all work in accordance with company and client Health & Safety protocols.
  • Demonstrate our foundational safety behaviors.
Skills / Experience — Minimum Skills and Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Geology or related field, Master’s degree preferred.
  • 12+ years of related experience.
  • Professional registration, as applicable.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including verbally communicating and presenting project information to clients, regulatory agencies, and stakeholders.
  • Applies emotional intelligence to achieve higher impact on project and client communications.
  • Proficient in use of Microsoft 365 products including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Office.
  • Demonstrated ability to work on interdisciplinary project teams.
  • Familiarity with industry-standard geologic modeling software.
  • MSHA New Miner and OSHA 40-Hour HAZWOPER training and refresher updates.
  • Must be willing to travel occasionally to support clients, projects, and project team collaboration.
