I'm currently working with a well-established, 100% employee-owned engineering firm seeking a Civil Airport Engineer / Project Manager to help grow and lead their aviation practice in the Helena market. This is not a typical project management role, this is an opportunity to step into a leadership position where you'll have a direct impact on expanding aviation services, building client relationships, and shaping the future of a growing regional team.

• Lead and manage aviation-related civil engineering projects from planning through design and delivery
• Serve as the primary point of contact for airport clients, municipalities, and key stakeholders
• Support the growth of the aviation practice in the region, helping expand client relationships and market presence
• Oversee project budgets, schedules, and overall performance to ensure successful delivery
• Review and guide engineering design work across airfield, landside, and support infrastructure projects
• Ensure compliance with FAA regulations and applicable safety standards
• Contribute to proposals, RFPs, and technical reports
• Mentor junior staff and help build out a strong local team

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering (or related ABET-accredited program)
• 4+ years of experience in civil engineering, with exposure to airport/aviation projects
• Experience managing or supporting civil projects in a client-facing capacity
• Familiarity with FAA standards and airport design practices
• EIT required; PE strongly preferred (or ability to obtain shortly after hire)
• Experience with design tools (Civil 3D, Bluebeam, etc.)
• Strong communication skills and a proactive, growth-oriented mindset
