ABOUT THE ROLE
Glacier Bancorp's (GBCI) Mortgage Loan Review Specialist II is responsible for reviewing, analyzing, and processing adverse action loans within company guidelines, procedures, and regulatory policies. The role ensures compliance with HMDA rules, regulations, and reporting for all declined, withdrawn, and closed loans, maintaining loan quality and adherence to procedures, guidelines, and regulations. The Specialist will have extensive contact with customers, vendors, and bank staff and will provide regular communication with the Corporate Mortgage Loan Admin Manager, recommending operational improvements as needed.
This corporate position may be located in an available bank division across the nine-state footprint in AZ, CO, , MT, NV, TX, UT, WA, or WY.
- Monitor and work the adverse action process.
- Complete the Adverse Action Notice and send it to the applicant.
- Cancel services ordered on the loan such as appraisal, lock, title, and flood insurance.
- Complete a thorough review of adverse loans.
- Validate HMDA reporting information for adverse and closed loans.
- Perform loan quality reviews to ensure compliance with policy, procedure, and regulation.
- Request additional information or documentation as needed.
- Maintain consistent and thorough communication with all involved parties, including internal and external customers and staff, in a professional, courteous, and friendly manner.
- Remain current on loan programs and lending (federal and state) regulations as well as all compliance and bank policies, ensuring all disclosure requirements are completed within Federal Time Limitations.
- Maintain contact with government agencies and investors to determine changes in requirements and products.
- Regularly participate in educational offerings from FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA, MI companies to stay current on changes.
