The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Public Health and Safety Division, Communicable Disease Control and Prevention Bureau.
This position performs a variety of professional and technical services to support the Environmental Health and Food Safety Section. Key responsibilities include
- managing and providing technical assistance on websites that support program activities:
- processing invoices and making small purchases for program staff;
- coordinating mail and printing tasks;
- responding to requests for program information;
- assisting with other program or bureau activities as requested.

Qualifications for this Career Opportunity- Knowledge of office management.
- Knowledge of basic math computations.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Effective decision-making and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively with others.
- Ability to identify problems, develop and implement solutions.
- Ability to operate personal computer and general office equipment as necessary to complete essential functions, including using spreadsheet, word processing, database, email, internet, and other computer programs.
- Bachelors degree in human services, business, or related field.
- 1 year of office management, administrative support, or program coordination experience.
- Other combinations of directly related education and experience may be considered on case-by-case basis.

This agency may use a training assignment. Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
