Quality Improvement Specialist

Responsibilities- Perform quality assurance activities for services provided to persons with developmental disabilities.
- Conduct on‑site visits to residential group homes, individual residences, and day service locations to ensure health, safety, and quality of life for service recipients.
- Monitor trends in incident management reports to prevent future occurrences.
- Conduct screenings to select individuals for waiver service opportunities.
- Knowledge of developmental disabilities resources and services.
- Knowledge of group mediation and problem resolution.
- Ability to maintain effective working relationships by using tact and professionalism.
- Bachelor’s degree in psychology, sociology, human services, special education or other education degree.
- Three years experience providing services to individuals with developmental disabilities.
- Other equivalent combinations of related education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
- Prefer education and experience with Applied Behavior Analysis.

Additional Information- This position may be eligible for a statutory $1.00 an hour base pay increase effective July 1, 2026.
- This position may be eligible for partial telework within the state of Montana. Specific conditions will be provided by the supervisor and must adhere to state policy.

Employees in training assignments may be paid below the base pay established by the agency pay rules. Conditions of the training assignment will be stated in writing at the time of hire.
