Ultrasound Technologist (Sonographer) travel assignment in Helena, MT. Specialty:
Ultrasound.
Start date:
10/25/2026. Duration: 13 weeks. Weekly pay: $2,489-$2,602. Guaranteed hours: 40 per week. Shift: 10-hour evenings (4 days per week). Setting: hospital-based imaging department performing inpatient and outpatient ultrasound studies. This travel position requires ARDMS credentials, BLS, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with exposure to call requirements.
- Weekly pay range: $2,489-$2,602 per week
- Guaranteed hours: 40 hours per week
- Contract duration: 13 weeks
- Shift: 10-hour evening shifts (Mon–Thu) with on-call coverage
- Start date:
10/25/2026 - Work setting: hospital-based imaging department handling inpatient and outpatient ultrasound studies
- Perform ultrasound examinations across modalities including vascular, abdomen, AAA, breast, OB, and pediatric ultrasound; conduct biophysical profiles as indicated
- Operate GE ultrasound equipment and document results in the Epic EMR; ensure images meet quality and protocol standards
- Prepare patients, position for exams, apply appropriate transducer techniques, and provide safe, compassionate patient care
- Identify and communicate notable findings to the interpreting radiologist or physician, and assist with patient education and follow-up as needed
- Maintain equipment and infection control standards; participate in on-call and holiday coverage as required
- Assist with charting, labeling, and proper documentation of studies; support departmental workflow and quality assurance initiatives
- ARDMS certification required and must be listed on profile at time of submission
- BLS certification required
- Minimum 2 years ultrasound experience
- Some pediatric ultrasound experience required
- Experience with EPIC EMR and GE ultrasound equipment preferred
- Ability to work in both inpatient and outpatient imaging settings
