The State of Montana Department of Administration, Information Technology Services Division (SITSD), seeks a Microsoft Solutions Engineer to design, develop, and maintain technology solutions that support state government operations. The role focuses on Microsoft Dynamics 365, Active Directory, Exchange, Skype for Business, SharePoint, and Windows Server.

• Design and develop solutions to complex system problems or administrative issues.

• Maintain the systems that drive the State of Montana’s information technology infrastructure.

• Collaborate with other engineers to implement, manage, and support Microsoft technologies.

• Offer technical guidance and high‑level customer service, including training and demonstrations.

• Resolve service issues promptly and assess architectural risks, providing mitigation strategies.

Education and Experience

• Undergraduate degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
• 3+ years of experience developing IT solutions that meet business needs.
• 3+ years of experience managing a corporate Exchange or email environment.
• Alternate combinations of education and experience may be considered on a case‑by‑case basis.
