Job DescriptionJOB SUMMARY: The Digital Marketing and Communications Specialist is a key member of the St. Peter’s Health Public Relations and Marketing team. This role is integral in driving St. Peter’s visibility and engagement through a combination of digital marketing and online reputation, communications, and content development. The Specialist will assist in managing social media channels, digital content, and support traditional marketing efforts to promote St.
Peter’s services, brand, and community relations. This individual will collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to design and execute marketing strategies across communications and marketing platforms that support St. Peter’s Health business operations and service lines.
- Key Responsibilities include:
- Assist with digital marketing programs and online reputation across platforms (Instagram, Linked In, Facebook, Google, etc.), ensuring alignment with marketing objectives and brand consistency. Create, manage, and monitor content while tracking analytics to optimize engagement and effectiveness.
- Support the design, development, and execution of marketing campaigns. Contribute to content creation for both digital, traditional and internal promotion materials, including ads, brochures, flyers, website graphics, and social media content, to elevate brand awareness, and increase patient, community and employee engagement.
- Write, edit, and proofread content for various marketing materials, including website copy, emails, newsletters, and promotional materials. Ensure all messaging aligns with St. Peter's voice and brand identity across all platforms.
- Assist with maintaining and updating St. Peter’s website, ensuring all content—such as promotional announcements, event listings, and copy is current and aligned with marketing objectives.
- Support the Supervisor of Marketing in managing vendor relationships and ad buys. Helps track media placements, monitor campaign performance, and generate reports to measure KPIs and overall effectiveness.
- Represent St. Peter’s at community and internal events. Assist with event marketing, promotional materials, and digital content development to support the organization’s presence and outreach.
- Will respond to assigned marketing requests, manage their own project timelines, and collaborate with various teams and leaders to ensure timely and successful execution of marketing and communication initiatives.
- Manage the department’s creative asset and photo libraries
- Assist with signage and way finding throughout the health system as well as posting/refreshing brand collateral throughout St. Peter’s facilities.
- Assist the Public Relations and Marketing Department with other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE/
EXPERIENCE:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in digital marketing, communications, or related fields. Proficiency in managing digital platforms, including social media, and website updates. Experience with Adobe Products (i.e. InDesign, Photoshop, etc.) highly preferred. Experience with creative design, content creation, and copywriting for both digital and traditional formats. Familiarity with analytics tools to monitor and report on digital marketing performance.
Experience in the healthcare industry or familiarity with healthcare marketing is a plus. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and other marketing software. Ability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
EDUCATION: Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, or related field required.
APTITUDES: Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills necessary to communicate positively with all health system stakeholders in person, on the telephone, and over email required. Demonstrated creative skills in planning unique, effective programs and occasional displays required. Demonstrated writing skills for publications and informational materials required. Ability to follow verbal and written instructions for complex communication, planning and coordination functions required. Attention to detail and accuracy required.
Demonstrated ability to perform mathematical calculations to complete reports and prepare statistical information required. Demonstrated ability to be flexible as the workload demands required, including working outside typical office hours and on weekends. Strong communication, customer service and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative approach to cross-functional work.
