Overview
Registered Nurse - Labor and Delivery | Helena, Montana | Start 07/19/2026 | 13 weeks | $2,499–$2,645 per week | 36 guaranteed hours per week | 12-hour rotating shift (2x3) in a hospital setting on a travel - temporary assignment.

Travel - temporary hospital position
- Provide direct labor and delivery nursing care for obstetric patients, from admission through postpartum, including continuous monitoring and supportive care.
- Monitor maternal and fetal status, perform fetal heart monitoring per standards, respond promptly to nonreassuring findings, and assist with interventions as needed.
- Administer medications relevant to labor, delivery, and postpartum care; support anesthesia and assist with obstetric OR circulating duties when required.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Epic EMR, including assessments, orders, deliveries, and discharge planning; ensure effective handoffs to receiving teams.
- Collaborate with obstetric, neonatal, anesthesia, and nursing teams to optimize maternal and neonatal outcomes; provide education and support to patients and families.
- Floating available to medical‑surgical units, ICU, or ER as needed to support staffing needs and patient care.
- Active Montana RN license (or MT multi‑state compact license) must be on file at submission.
- Certifications:
BLS, ACLS, NRP, STABLE, AWHONN fetal heart monitoring required. - Experience:
minimum 2 years of labor and delivery or OB nursing experience; OB OR circulator experience preferred. - EMR:
Epic experience required. - OB and OR skills: OB experience with OR circulator duties; ability to float to MS, ICU, ER for support as needed.
- Work setting and schedule: able to work a 12‑hour rotating schedule in a hospital labor and delivery environment; 200‑mile radius eligibility applies for travel assignments; all time‑off or schedule requests must be submitted with the application.
