As a School Nurse, you contribute to this mission by maintaining health files on all children as required by law or guidelines. You will work as part of a team that serves nearly 8,000 students at 18 campuses across Helena. This position is a 1.0 FTE.
Base starting salary range is $52,275(Base Step
0) to $54,527 (Base Step
6). Some of what you will do:
Coordinates and facilitates necessary care and accommodations for students with health conditions which impact school attendance, participation, and safety. Conducts school health services, including physical assessments, health screenings, personal health counseling, and appropriate emergency health services.
Who we are looking for:
To become part of this dedicated team, you have a BSN with a Montana Nursing License at the time of employment. The ideal candidate will possess a Registered Nurse License with a minimum of 1 year experience in a school setting. Successful candidates enjoy regularly moving, sitting, standing, walking. The employee is occasionally required to run; stoop and kneel. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
The employee must occasionally push items of 50 lbs. such as pushing children on a bike or moving/rearranging furniture. While performing the duties of the job the employee occasionally may visit a child's home. Specific vision abilities required by this job include near vision, distance vision, and depth perception.
