• Provide direct patient care for stepdown-level patients, including monitoring, administering medications, IV therapy, and ongoing assessments; implement and adjust care plans per physician orders.
• Float to stepdown/ICU and medical-surgical units as needed, maintaining safe, effective care within unit protocols.
• Maintain appropriate patient-to-nurse ratios and prioritize patient safety, using critical thinking to elevate concerns.
• Document thoroughly in the Epic EMR, including assessments, plan of care, and timely communication with the care team.
• Respond to codes as trained (BLS/ACLS) and support interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Collaborate with physicians, charge nurses, respiratory therapy, and ancillary staff to coordinate care and discharge planning.

• 2 years of Stepdown experience; prior travel experience required
• BLS and ACLS certification required
• Epic EMR experience
• Ability to float between medical floor, stepdown/ICU, and surgical/oncology units as assigned
• 200-mile radius rule applies; all RTO or schedule requests must be submitted with submittal
