The Montana Department of Public Health and Human Services (DPHHS) has a career opportunity within the Montana State Hospital
- Grasslands.
This position is located in Helena, MT at the Grasslands facility, which is an off-site facility of the Montana State Hospital. It is funded through June 30, 2027. After this date, the position may be funded permanently or may be subject to a reduction in force (RIF).
Montana State Hospital is seeking professional and passionate Licensed Practical Nurses (LPN) to join our team. This full-time position would perform skilled nursing duties and inpatient psychiatric treatment for adults with serious mental illness. These responsibilities would include administering and documenting the administration of medications and medical treatments. Receive and transcribe verbal and written physician’s orders accordingly to ensure accurate treatment to patients and provide patient assessment.

Qualifications for this Career OpportunitySkilled in the use of the basic instruments and equipment of the nursing profession
Ability to communicate effectively, verbally and in writing.
Ability to proficiently utilize technology related to patient car information systems
Graduation from an accredited school of practical nursing
Currently licensed as a Practical Nurse in the State of Montana
Salary$36.20 - 36.20 Hourly Telework Eligibility :
