The Lewis & Clark County Noxious Weed Control District Program is recruiting for summer weed sprayers.
Under general supervision of the Weed Coordinator, this position performs weed control and mitigation for the Weed District. Positions are typically May – August and workweek is Monday - Thursday, 10 hour shifts.
Positions are open till filled and applications will be reviewed weekly.
Who We AreThe Lewis and Clark County Noxious Weed District education, enforcement, awareness programs and policies support the State Weed Law (MCA 7-22-21). The District encourages management of noxious weeds on private and public lands, subdivisions, timber harvests and open pit mining within the county. Noxious Weed awareness and education strengthens management, lessens the spread of infestations, enhances land values and protects the environment.
Noxious weed management is the responsibility of all land managers.
The knowledge, skills, and abilities are acquired through a combination of education and experience equivalent to graduation from high school. One (1) year of experience with noxious weed control and mitigation preferred.
