Position Overview & Responsibilities
If you are passionate about health and fitness, we invite you to join our dedicated team in transforming Soldier performance and readiness through the Army's prestigious Holistic Health and Fitness (H2F) program. As a Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC), you will play a crucial role in developing, implementing, and overseeing training programs designed to enhance physical performance while minimizing the risk of musculoskeletal (MSK) injuries at Brigade, Battalion, and Company levels.
Key Responsibilities- Design and administer strength and conditioning training programs compliant with NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC standards.
- Ensure program quality by adhering to guidelines established by the Army Brigade Program Director (BDE PD) and maintaining industry standards.
- Participate regularly in meetings with the BDE PD and H2F Performance Team to discuss physical training programs and provide constructive feedback on Soldier/unit progression.
- Document and monitor Soldier/unit progression as directed, recommending improvements to the H2F System.
- Manage equipment operations and report any deficiencies to the BDE PD.
- Develop tailored training programs for Soldiers with physical limitations in collaboration with medical providers.
- Provide mentorship and training to unit fitness leaders, offering guidance on injury mitigation strategies.
- Collect, document, and report performance data as required.
- Coordinate facility scheduling for approved activities and observe training events.
- A predictable work schedule with 80-hour pay periods (typically 40-hour work weeks), no away games, and no weekend work required.

- Legal status to work in the U.S. | U.S. Citizen for overseas positions.
- A bachelor’s degree in any field.
- A minimum of three years of relevant SCC work experience within the last five years, or a suitable combination of professional experience, education, or military background.
- Veterans, military spouses, and candidates with coaching experience in collegiate, professional/semi-professional, Olympic teams, or ROTC programs may be eligible for experience waivers if they do not meet the three-year requirement.
- Active certification as either an NSCA Certified Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) or a CSCCa Strength and Conditioning Coach Certified (SCCC).
- Active Basic Life Support (BLS) or CPR/AED certification from a recognized provider.
- Able to handle loads up to 45 pounds and perform outdoor training in various environments.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% to support geographically dispersed units.
- Access to a personal computer or smartphone for electronic timesheet reporting.
- A valid driver’s license with no restrictions against driving on federal installations.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Teams).
- Active NACI.
