Security Guard

Shodair Children’s Hospital is seeking a dedicated and attentive Security Guard to help maintain a safe, supportive, and welcoming environment for our patients, staff, and visitors. This role is essential to protecting our campus, supporting clinical teams, and ensuring the well‑being of everyone who enters our facility.

• Safeguard hospital grounds to support patient safety, prevent theft or violence, and protect property through active patrols and surveillance monitoring.
• Manage visitor access, greet guests, issue IDs, and maintain accurate logs.
• Operate, test, and document hospital equipment while completing assigned security tasks and preventive maintenance.
• Support clinical teams with video monitoring, high‑acuity patient situations, and staff safety during shift changes.
• Serve as first contact for emergency responders, provide on‑call assistance, and assist other departments as needed.
• Document incidents, communicate with security leadership and administration, and comply with all regulations and the Shodair Code of Conduct.

• High school diploma required.
• 0–2 years of experience in security, customer service, or a related field.
• Ability to work under direct supervision and handle basic issues, referring complex matters to senior staff.
• Beginning to working knowledge of security practices; hospital or healthcare experience is a plus.
