Position Summary
We are looking for a General Facilities Maintenance Technician to join our local and regional teams. In this role you will execute routine maintenance tasks to keep Walmart Stores safe, functional, and visually appealing.
Under the supervision of the local General Maintenance Manager you will adhere to established maintenance schedules, conduct inspections, cleaning, and repair of facilities, equipment, and fixtures.

Position Requirements- 18 years or older
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Can lift up to 50 lbs. at a time
- Can move up and down ladders frequently
- Comfortable working at heights frequently
- Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
- Able to work in various temperatures
- Hold a valid state‑issued driver’s license with a clean driving record and ability to pass a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) report
- Vocational or Technical certification and 1 year experience, or 2 years total work experience, in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade
- Maintain and repair Walmart facilities, equipment, and assets using multiple craft skills (plumbing, electrical, carpentry, material handling equipment, food equipment) and hand and power tools
- Utilize the work order management system to receive reactive repair Work Orders, support Stores and associates, and document repair activities
- Provide prompt response to emergency maintenance calls
- Inspect, operate, or test facilities, equipment, or fixtures to diagnose issues
- Complete all required training requirements to operate equipment and tools safely

- Vocational or Technical certification and 3 years’ experience in one of the following trades: plumbing, electrical, material handling equipment, or related trade, OR 5 years’ experience in one of the same trades
- Valid Driver’s License
- Eligible for a Commercial Driver’s License (CDL)
- Completion of a 2‑year vocational or technical trade program
- License in a related trade in the city and/or state where the job is located
- Intermediate level functionality of word processing, spreadsheet, email, and presentation software (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)
