Chip & Tint Detail Technician
The Chip & Tint Detail Technician is responsible for enhancing and protecting customer vehicles by performing professional clear bra installation, window tint installation, and vehicle detailing services. This position plays a key role in delivering exceptional vehicle presentation and customer satisfaction while maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.
Essential Responsibilities- Install automotive window tint with precision and minimal imperfections.
- Complete interior and exterior vehicle detailing, including washing, waxing, vacuuming, polishing, and cleaning.
- Prepare new and pre-owned vehicles for customer delivery.
- Inspect completed work to ensure dealership quality standards are met.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly use and maintain detailing, tinting, and repair equipment.
- Identify and report any vehicle damage or mechanical concerns before and after service.
- Follow manufacturer, dealership, and safety procedures at all times.
- Assist other departments as needed to meet customer delivery deadlines.
- Maintain inventory of detailing and tinting supplies and notify management when materials need replenishing.
- Provide exceptional customer service when interacting with customers.
- Previous experience in automotive detailing, window tinting, or clear bra installation preferred but willing to train the right candidate.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent time management and organizational skills.
- Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
- Ability to safely operate manual and automatic transmission vehicles preferred.
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening if required.
- Frequently stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and lift up to 50 pounds.
- Work indoors and outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to perform repetitive hand movements and fine-detail work.
- Ability to safely operate power tools and detailing equipment.
