Deployment & Field Support Technician (Temporary)

We are seeking dependable, detail-oriented Deployment & Field Support Technicians to support technology deployment projects across designated Montana locations.
This role is responsible for assisting with the installation, replacement, removal, and decommissioning of equipment, while ensuring proper handling, documentation, and tracking of assets. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and able to follow structured processes in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities- Unbox, inspect, and stage equipment for deployment
- Perform basic setup and configuration of hardware
- Assist with installation, replacement, and removal of equipment at assigned locations
- Decommission and prepare legacy equipment for return, transport, or disposal
- Pack, label, and organize equipment for shipment or storage
- Support transportation and movement of equipment between sites
- Maintain accurate inventory and asset tracking documentation
- Complete and verify chain-of-custody records for all equipment
- Segregate equipment designated for reuse, repair, recycling, or disposal
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment
- Communicate project progress, issues, and completion updates to leadership
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred
- Previous experience in one or more of the following is preferred:
- IT deployment or hardware installation
- Warehouse operations or logistics
- Technical field support
- Basic understanding of computer hardware and peripheral devices
- Ability to follow written instructions and procedures
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Ability to pass a background check and drug screening
- Reliable transportation and ability to travel as required
- Ability to lift and move equipment up to 50 lbs
- Ability to stand, walk, bend, and perform repetitive tasks throughout the day
- Ability to safely handle electronic equipment
- Experience with hardware deployment or refresh projects
- Familiarity with inventory or asset tracking systems
- Experience documenting chain-of-custody processes or handling controlled assets
- Temporary project-based assignment
- Work performed at multiple locations throughout Montana
- Schedule and duration based on project needs
- Travel required, with occasional overnight stays
