SoFi is seeking enthusiastic Software Engineers who are ready to learn and contribute to the development of the next generation of our financial services platform. Key qualifications include taking ownership of key platform improvements, solid fundamentals in languages and frameworks, implementing improvements using well‑established patterns, and writing clear, maintainable code with relevant test collateral.
WhatYou’ll Do
- Build new features, capabilities, and member experiences for market‑leading loan products.
- Engage fully across the product lifecycle, from initial concept to deployment.
- Ensure code quality, deliver highly‑available, scalable services, and coordinate closely with Product, Marketing, Operations, Business, Legal, and Compliance teams.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or Software Engineering.
- 1+ years of professional full‑time relevant experience, including internships or research assistant roles.
- Strong sense of ownership, willingness to learn unfamiliar systems, and affinity for solving complex problems.
- Proficiency in Java, Kotlin, or another modern object‑oriented language.
- Ability to follow established patterns, write clear, maintainable code, and write basic unit tests.
- Understanding of relational and document database principles.
- Experience with GIT, Build Automation, and CI/CD processes.
