Role Type: Full time / Permanent

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance across boilers, cranes and marine structures.
• Identifying, diagnosing and rectifying system, manufacturing and installation defects.
• Interpreting engineering drawings, schematics and technical documentation.
• Working safely in line with health, safety and environmental legislation and safe systems of work.
• Contributing ideas to improve processes, productivity and operational effectiveness.

Role is full time, 36 hours per week, based on site at HMNB Clyde. Set working times are Monday to Thursday, 07:15 to 16:45.

• Operating and maintaining brazing or similar mechanical equipment.
• Interpreting engineering drawings and technical schematics.
• Completing risk assessments and working to safe systems of work.
• Applying COSHH requirements in a practical environment.
• Working safely with mechanical tools, equipment and machinery.

• Completed a recognised engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
• Coded welding experience – Desirable.
• Confined spaces or working at height certification – Desirable.
• Asbestos awareness or abrasive wheels training – Desirable.

The successful candidate must be a sole UK national who is able to achieve and maintain Security Check (SC) security clearance for this role. Eligibility for certain roles may be affected by place of birth, nationality, current or former citizenship, and any residency held.
