Electrical Qualifying Supervisor

This person will be mainly involved with Repairs and Voids along with A&A and supporting Planned projects. The person will also be a line manager for a team of electricians who work in the Repairs and Voids Work streams.

Role Overview

The Qualified Electrical Supervisor (QES) will be responsible for overseeing electrical installation, maintenance, testing, and compliance works within social housing properties. The role ensures all electrical works meet statutory regulations, industry standards, and organisational quality requirements, while providing leadership and technical support to electricians and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Providing technical support to our electricians across our varying contracts
  • Being the EQS for our NICEIC accreditation
  • Carrying out technical and H&S TBT to the electrical staff
  • Conducting regular Quality Control Inspections on both WIP and Post Works carried out by our internal electricians and approved sub‑contractors
Qualifications & Experience
  • Fully qualified electrician with NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (or equivalent).
  • Current BS7671:
    Requirements for Electrical Installations (18th Edition).
  • City & Guilds 2391 (or 2394/2395) Testing & Inspection qualification.
  • Recognised Qualified Supervisor status with NICEIC/NAPIT (or equivalent).
  • Proven experience supervising electrical works, preferably within social housing or similar residential environments.
  • Strong knowledge of health & safety legislation and compliance obligations.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and organisational skills.
