We are currently looking for an experienced Plumber to join the maintenance team at HMP The Mount.

This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified plumber with previous commercial, public-sector, or secure-estate experience who already holds valid SC clearance.

Key Responsibilities

* Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance across the prison estate.

* Diagnose and repair plumbing faults, leaks, blockages and other issues.

* Install, maintain and repair sanitaryware, pipework, water systems and associated equipment.

* Complete maintenance work safely, efficiently and to a high standard.

* Respond to reactive maintenance requests and minimise disruption to the site.

* Complete relevant paperwork and maintenance records.

* Follow all prison security, health & safety and site procedures.

Requirements

* NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent plumbing qualification.

* Relevant experience as a qualified plumber.

* Current SC Clearance – essential.

* Experience working within commercial, industrial, public-sector or secure environments is desirable.

* Good understanding of health & safety and compliance requirements.

* Full UK driving licence desirable.

* Reliable, professional and able to work independently.
