Special Education Coordinator

JOB SUMMARY Under the general supervision of the Executive Director of Special Education, coordinates District Special Education Services to students and parents in alignment with State and Federal mandates and provides leadership in the planning, implementation and evaluation of all special education programs serving District students. Coordinates and leads the district special education programs, including, but not limited to Preschool through Adult transition, and intervention programs.

Other duties as assigned.

REQUIREMENTS / QUALIFICATIONS

Education:

Master's Degree or higher degree from a recognized college or university in Special Education Curriculum and Instructional Programming, or a field sufficiently related to ensure performance success.

Experience:

• 5 years of successful teaching and coordinating special education functions and activities.
• Site administrative experience is desired. Credentials and Licenses: ? Valid General Administration, Standard Administration, or Administrative Services credential. ? Valid California teaching or Pupil Personnel Services credential.? Valid California Driver's license;? Maintain possession of such license during the course of employment.
