Job OverviewReporting to the Director, VES, the EHS Manager partners with site and regional leaders to develop, deploy, and continuously improve Environmental, Health & Safety programs that mitigate risk, ensure regulatory compliance, and strengthen a proactive safety culture. This role plays a key part in implementing Veralto Business System (VES) and compliance-driven EHS programs across site value streams and supports operations through on-site and regional engagement, including domestic travel up to 10% and occasional international travel.
The position is on-site in Hemet, CA.
- Develop, implement, and maintain EHS programs that drive regulatory compliance, injury prevention, and risk mitigation.
- Lead EHS-related projects, including Veralto Business System initiatives and Kaizen activities.
- Partner with site leadership to advance safety culture, awareness, and accountability.
- Interface with EHS committees, Emergency Response, and Crisis Management teams.
- Evaluate federal, state, and local EHS regulations and translate requirements into compliant programs.
- Manage environmental compliance programs and metrics, including air permits, hazardous waste, stormwater, spill prevention, chemical tracking, and Form R reporting.
- Conduct audits, industrial hygiene sampling, ergonomic assessments, and support pollution prevention activities.
- Bachelor of Science in Environmental, Health and Safety with 7 years of related work experience OR Master of Science in Environmental, Health and Safety with 5+ years of related work experience.
- Demonstrated experience developing, implementing, and maintaining EHS management systems in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
- Working knowledge of U.S. federal, state, and local EHS regulations and their application to site operations.
- Experience managing environmental compliance programs, including hazardous waste, air permits, stormwater, and spill prevention programs.
- Ability to travel domestically up to 10% to support auditing and compliance activities.
