MJ Barber & Beauty Academy in Hemet, CA is looking for a passionate and experienced Licensed Cosmetology Instructor to inspire the next generation of beauty professionals. • Deliver engaging classroom and hands‑on instruction in cosmetology theory and practical techniques.
• Teach students core skills including hair cutting, coloring, skincare, nail care, and chemical services.
• Evaluate and assess student progress through written and practical examinations.
• Maintain accurate student attendance, performance records, and progress reports.
• Ensure a safe, clean, and professional learning environment in compliance with state board standards.
• Mentor and motivate students to prepare for the California State Board licensing exam.
• Stay current with industry trends, techniques, and product knowledge.

• Active California Cosmetology License 3 years minimum (Required).
• Prior teaching, mentoring, or training experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of cosmetology theory, techniques, and state board regulations.
• Excellent communication, classroom management, and interpersonal skills.
• Passionate, patient, and student-focused with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to work a consistent schedule and meet curriculum requirements.
