Spanish Bilingual Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II

- Riverside University Health System (RUHS) - Behavioral Health is seeking a Spanish bilingual Licensed Vocational Nurse I/II. Under supervision and direction of a registered nurse, nurse practitioner, physician assistant, or physician, the incumbent will be responsible for administering injections, reviewing labs, assisting consumers with medication concerns, following up on medication issues, obtaining medication histories, coordinating care with physicians and network providers, managing calls, calling in medications, obtaining and recording vital signs, supporting a multidisciplinary team, and performing timely and thorough documentation of all services in compliance with State and Federal regulations and County/Department policies;

performing nursing duties within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act for vocational nursing in the care of patients in the Department of Mental Health or Public Health Ambulatory Family Health Center, and perform other related duties as required. The ideal candidate will have the ability to collaborate with community agencies including, but not limited to, probation, courts, hospitals and community centers.

Flexibility, compassion, and a willingness to partner with consumers on their wellness and recovery journey are highly valued. This is a field position and traveling is required. The most competitive candidates will have professional experience and/or knowledge with the following:

- Working with individuals living with mental illness
- Field work
- Experience and/or training in treating persons with co-occurring mental health and substance abuse issues

Licensed Vocational Nurse I: $28.5144/hour - $41.7951/hour Licensed Vocational Nurse II: $30.1740/hour - $44.2272/hour Meet the Team! • Provide nursing care to patients within the scope of the Nurse Practice Act for vocational nursing; prepare patients for physicians, registered nurse, physician assistants, and nurse practitioners, and care for patients during treatment; administer medications using subcutaneous, intramuscularly, intradermal, subdermal, and/or oral methods.
• Take temperature, pulse, respiration and blood pressure of patients as necessary; apply and change dressings and cares for wounds; may collect specimens for laboratory analysis; assist physicians, registered nurses, and mid-level providers in performing examinations, tests, respiratory care and other treatments including minor surgical procedures, PAP smears and colposcopies.
