Description
- Reporting to the Associate Dean for Development and Alumni Relations, the position performs a full range of tasks on a senior assistant level for the Office of Development and Alumni Relations. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Responsible for correspondence, preparing forms, filing, and maintaining alumni records. Interacting with major donors, alumni, faculty, and students, as well as other Law School and University departments. Responding to individuals and questions that come to the front desk of the Dean's Suite. Has primary responsibility for receiving, recording, and depositing all donations for the Law School in accordance with University policies.
Preparing fund set up paperwork. Drafting acknowledgement letters as needed. Assisting with the scholarship process by drafting letters notifying scholarship donors of their recipients, contacting students to prepare thank-you notes, and helping with responses in connection with the Law School's annual scholarship reception. Coordinating event registrations and tracks responses, including setting up online Marketplace, processing online payments and manning the registration table.
Assisting in preparing event budgets and dealing with outside vendors. Overseeing the work of student aids, including maintaining their schedules and tracking their time. Scheduling appointments and making arrangements for travel, meetings and receptions, including overseeing reimbursements for the department. Performing other related duties as assigned.
Hours:
Monday through Friday from 9am to 5pm. Subject to bumping
Qualifications
- Minimum of three years clerical experience. Detail-oriented, self-motivated, and highly organized. Strong interpersonal, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks effectively. Excellent phone and oral and written communication skills. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. Occasional overtime is required in connection with department events.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in higher education, preferably within a law school or comparable academic environment. Experience with Ellucian Banner and Raiser's EdgeNXT.
Salary/Salary Range - $50,339.00
