Description
- Hofstra University, anNCAADivision I institution and member of the Colonial Athletic Association/Eastern Intercollegiate Wrestling Association, is seeking an Assistant Athletic Trainer. Hofstra University sponsors 21 competitive sports and approximately 350 student-athletes. Candidates must be willing and able to organize and handle all aspects of administration and adhere to the rules and regulations of Hofstra University, the Colonial Athletic Association, and theNCAA.Responsibilities

include, but are not limited to:

Prevention, recognition, evaluation, rehabilitation and recovery from injuries and illnesses to student-athletes.

Maintains illness and treatment records, insurance correspondence, and communication with team physicians and the University Wellness Center.

Supervises athletic training students enrolled in the accredited athletic training education curriculum.

Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree required.

Valid driver's license.

NATABOCCertification, New York State License or eligible,CPRandAEDCertification.

Minimum of 1 to 3 years of related work experience.

Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree in Athletic Training preferred.

Salary/Salary Range - $53,000 - $54,800

* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
