Description
- The Hofstra University School of Health Sciences is pleased to invite applications for Adjunct Faculty positions in the Department of Allied Health and Kinesiology. Applications will be accepted on a continuous basis and will be kept on file and reviewed as courses become available. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Teaching introductory and advanced courses that support the mission and vision of the Department of Allied Health and Kinesiology. The Department of Allied Health & Kinesiology, offers an undergraduate pre-professional degree in Exercise Physiology and four graduate professional programs in Athletic Training (MS), Occupational Therapy (MS), Physical Therapy (DPT) and Sports Science (MS). Students learn about patient-centered care to enhance health, rehabilitation and performance through the lifespan from accomplished faculty in a collaborative environment and gain hands-on clinical experience both on and off campus.
Qualifications
- Master's degree in Kinesiology, Exercise Science, Allied Health, or a closely related field required.
Preferred Quals Summary
- Doctorate degree preferred in health-related field. Teaching experience.

Salary/Salary Range - $1,458-$1,839 per credit hour

* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education. In addition to the salary offered, we offer a collegial and inclusive culture, and a benefits program which includes generous paid time off, paid holidays, tuition remission for employees and eligible dependents, and a retirement plan with University contributions.
* Salary ranges indicated for positions covered under a Collective Bargaining Agreement are in accordance with the CBA.
