Description
- The Lawrence Herbert School of Communication at Hofstra University is pleased to invite applications for an Adjunct Assistant/Associate Professor in the area of Podcasting in the Department of Radio, Television, Film (RTVF). Candidate should be able to teach the fundamental practices of video podcasting with a focus on the creation and production of chat-style audio programs. In addition, the candidate should have a body of creative work in at least one of these writing practices.
The preferred candidate will:
Be able to guide students through the full life cycle of a chat show – from concept and development to production and promotion – with a focus on industry best practices. Have a strong command of the technology required to record and edit audio and video podcasts. Have a proven track record of producing and/or hosting chat-style shows.
Qualifications
- Proven track record producing or hosting chat-style video podcasts Familiarity with narrative audio and storytelling structures
Preferred Quals Summary
- Teaching experience at the college level Industry connections across sports, music, or entertainment podcasting

Salary/Salary Range - $1,585-$1,711 per credit hour

* as a good faith estimate of the starting pay range which considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and education.
