Assistant Controller

A successful Assistant Controller shall oversee the monthly closing process, prepare financial reporting packages, and report results to management. The role includes monitoring and reviewing system processes for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and job costing departments, preparing year‑end budgets and analytical cost and revenue reports, reviewing sales and use tax returns, and preparing annual property tax returns. The position requires a good working knowledge of accounting/business practices, the ability to use office equipment and software, and strong data analysis skills.

• Oversee monthly closing process and prepare financial reporting packages
• Report results to management
• Monitor and review system processes for accounts receivable, accounts payable, and job costing departments
• Prepare year‑end budgets and analytical cost and revenue reports
• Review sales and use tax returns and prepare annual property tax returns
• Perform additional duties as assigned

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related field or 4 years of related work experience
• Advanced proficiency in accounting and related functionalities
• Proficient in the use of office hardware and software (PCs, tablets, printers, copiers, Microsoft, Google)
• Authorized to work in the United States
• Successful completion of pre‑employment drug screen, background, and motor vehicle record check
• Good working knowledge of accounting/business practices; ability to read, understand, interpret, input, and analyze data
