Provide engaging music instruction to elementary students in a supportive and inclusive classroom environment. Use a variety of instructional materials and activities to achieve lesson objectives and maintain a positive learning atmosphere.

• Develop and implement effective lesson plans aligned with objectives.
• Facilitate instructional activities to achieve high rates of student engagement and time on task.
• Employ effective questioning techniques and motivational strategies.
• Monitor student learning continuously and assess progress.
• Manage classroom behavior according to board and school policies.
• Participate in faculty meetings and curriculum research as required.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom conducive to learning.
• Assist students in catching up on missed work due to legitimate absences.
• Discipline students using acceptable methods in compliance with policies.
• Communicate with parents/guardians about student progress and concerns.
• Maintain professional conduct, dress, and language at all times.
• Engage in professional development through workshops, committees, and organizations.
• Perform additional duties assigned by administration.

• Proper Kentucky teaching certification.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
• Physical ability to meet state and national health, background, drug screening, and TB risk assessment requirements.
