Accounting Assistant

• Processing accounts in compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Performing day to day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, and recording accounts payable data, assist with month end close.
• Preparing bills, invoices and bank deposits.
• Ensuring effective and efficient A/P operations and vendor relations.
• Assists with payroll, credit card and expense processes.

• Preferred Associates degree in Accounting or Finance related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in accounts payable processing.
• Experience working in a nonprofit organization or a strong desire to work in service driven environment.

• Flexibility
• Valid Driver’s License with at least three (3) years driving experience and less than two (2) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
• Must be able to pass a drug screen and background test.

Demonstrates expertise in accounts payable processing, financial transaction management, and compliance with financial policies. Strong ability to maintain vendor relations and assist with payroll and expense processes in a nonprofit environment.
