The Clinic Medical Assistant provides direct or indirect patient care in accordance with state Nurse Practice Acts, covering urgent, emergent, or preventive care. Responsibilities include general patient care, assisting with procedures, documentation, and patient education, following established standards and policies.

Graduation from an accredited Medical Assistant or nursing program is required. Experience is preferred but not mandatory. Must be able to draw blood.

Current certification/license from one of the following:

• Certified Medical Assistant (AAMA)
• Registered Medical Assistant (AMT)
• Certified Clinical Medical Assistant (NHC)
• National Certified Medical Assistant (NCT)
• Nationally Registered Certified Medical Assistant (NAPH)
• Registered Medical Assistant (AAH)
• Certified Medical Assistant Clinical (AMCA)

Active LPN or RN license in the state of employment is required. CPR certification is also required.
